My name is Oliver Bray

I’m a 22 year old country singer-songwriter from Oyster Pond, Nova Scotia.

I’m studying Education at Saint Francis Xavier University with the goal of becoming a teacher.

I was raised in a small town where family, community, and connections shaped how I see the world.

Those roots keep me grounded and remind me what matters most.

Where I come alive is on stage. The second I start singing…

I become someone else.

It’s not an act, it’s just a raw version of myself that only shows up under the lights.

Performing takes me somewhere nothing else can, and that feeling drives me to keep chasing it.

Every show is a chance to give everything I have and leave a piece of myself behind in the music.

My Music

I tell stories through my music, creating a powerful emotional experience that keeps the audience hooked. My goal is for listeners to connect with the lyrics and feel the full range of emotions, as we ride together through a rollercoaster of highs and lows. I keep the crowd on the edge of their seats by blending soft, intimate moments with gritty, raw power, delivering everything from soft-spoken whispers to grungy, hard-hitting vocals.

My genre blends Rock and Roots Country, drawing inspiration from artists like Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Sam Barber, Luke Combs, and others who blend authenticity with raw emotion. What sets me apart from many performers is the focus I place on my compelling, powerful vocals, which create an energy-filled experience your patrons won’t soon forget. Whether it’s a laid-back acoustic set or a high-energy performance, I guarantee my music will leave your audience wanting more.

BACKGROUND

My path into country music started long before I ever thought about doing it professionally. Music was always part of my everyday life. I sang in school musicals. I spent nights around the house singing karaoke. I put on small living room shows for my family, not because I had to, but because it felt natural. Singing was never a phase. It was something I kept coming back to.

The real turning point came in January 2024. I went to the finals of a karaoke contest at The Old No. 7 Restaurant and Sports Bar, not as a competitor, but as someone in the crowd. Before the competition officially started, the floor was opened to anyone who wanted to sing. I worked up the nerve, went up, and sang. I had no expectations. The reaction in the room was immediate. That moment changed how I saw myself. It was the first time I realized I could do more than sing for fun. I could perform.

After that night, I started taking music seriously. I began booking shows, writing with intention, and learning what it meant to perform for people who had never heard me before. I started playing venues across Nova Scotia, performing for crowds of all sizes and ages. Smaller rooms taught me how to connect and hold attention. Larger rooms taught me confidence, pacing, and stage awareness. Every show sharpened my approach.

Some of the most formative moments came from stepping onto bigger stages. Performing at the Trunk7 Music Festival in Porters Lake exposed me to festival crowds and professional production. Competing in the ECCMA Country Star Search at Mill Cove Brew Pub pushed me to perform under pressure and trust my instincts. Those experiences helped define how I carry myself on stage today. Calm. Prepared. Focused on the song.

In January of 2026, I signed with my first record label, SGB & Friends. That step marked a shift from building independently to working with a team that believes in my voice, my songwriting, and my direction as an artist. It gave me the structure and support to start focusing more deeply on original music and long-term growth.

At the core of everything I do is country storytelling. I write from real experiences and honest moments. The focus is strong vocals, clear lyrics, and songs that feel grounded and direct. When you listen or see me live, the goal stays simple. You feel something real. You hear a voice that means what it is singing.

This career is still unfolding, but every step has been intentional. Every show, every song, and every opportunity builds toward something lasting. I am committed to growing as a performer and songwriter, and to earning every stage I step onto.
